Notice of Public Rights and Publication of Annual Governance and Accountability Return (Exempt Authority)

This audit is conducted by Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils (NCALC).

Published: 14 June 2020

Dear all,

Please be aware that every year the Parish Council accounts, associated documents and records are required to be audited.

This audit is conducted by Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils (NCALC).

The audit found that all of the legal requirements and expectations had been discharged by the Parish Council and included one or two suggestions as to how the Parish Council could conduct its business even better. These suggestions are being adopted by the Parish Council.

As the Parish Council had both an income and an expenditure that was less than £25,000 for the financial year of 2019/20, we are able to claim an exemption from a further external audit, carried out by PKF Littlejohn LLP.

As part of that process, the Parish Council is required to make its accounts and associated documents and records available to any registered voter of the parish for examination.

This right can be exercised between the 15th June and 24th July 2020 and can be done via arrangement with the Clerk to the Parish Council. The contact details for the clerk can be found in the panel opposite this entry.

The required notices for this exercise of public rights are attached below.
